Grow Aromatic Coconuts Anywhere

Maximizing export potential on challenging terrains with Netafim modern irrigation.

Modernizing Coconut Farming in Phuket

Traditionally, aromatic coconuts are grown in flat, open-ditch canal systems. Diversifying 15% of its plantation to high-value export coconuts, Ngan Tawee Group faced sandy soil and water scarcity in Southern Thailand. Partnering with Netafim, they bypassed traditional canal requirements, successfully cultivating premium coconuts on sloped terrains with maximum efficiency.

Project Scope

Agronomic and land design

Hydraulic system calculation

SuperNet and PCJ installation

Self-cleaning filter setup

System maintenance training

"With Netafim, we proved that premium aromatic coconuts do not need flat, canal-based land to thrive."

Netafim engineered a dual-system solution using pressure-compensated PCJ drip lines (8L/hr, 3 per tree) and SuperNet™ mini-sprinklers (30L/hr). Operating 7-8 hours daily, they deliver a precise 200 liters of water per tree. SuperNet's pressure-compensating mechanism ensures uniform distribution across Phuket's sloped terrain while automatic disc filters prevent system clogging.
